Archives for the month of: January, 2013

I published this post over at my blog at The Huffington Post today.  I think we need an internal, university wide, UK hosted social network. So many organisations, such as banks and even the NHS are launching internal social networks, for collaboration and communication.  Could it be that we should be providing students with a professionally focused space to practice and fine tune their professional digital voice?

What do you think?

We are evaluating the evidence at the moment.  I could be wrong.  I don’t mind if I am.  It is a genuine question I would like to answer.

Study Visit for Higher Education Reform Experts, London 28-29th January 2013

Tonight I am totally exhausted.  I presented today at the UNICA study visit/conference at Cornwall House, London. UNICA is a network of 44 Universities, 33 countries from the capitals of Europe. I have learned a lot over the last two days, I must admit, up until now I was totally unfamiliar with The Bologna Process.

UNICA conference

Several of the delegates have expressed strong interest in my work and will investigate the opportunity for some joint working. It was a very satisfying day.

The slides I used for the event are here and the link to the program and video recordings of every presentation are here
